Update : For those of you watching me but not , I put the link to the next part in here for you all to follow. It's getting creeepy.
This was started by , dA's master of suspense, and I thought it would be fun to continue this. Here's his dealio ...
In 300 words of fewer, capture the narrator's voice and carry this forward. Come back here and CLAIM YOUR SPOT IN LINE!
I.e., comment that you will be FIRST, or SECOND if someone else is already first, or THIRD if the other two slots are taken, etc.
Then, when the person in front of you finishes THEIR part, you write yours BASED ON EVERYTHING THE OTHERS HAVE DONE, INCLUDING THIS OPENING. There IS NO CHANGING ANYTHING TO SUIT YOUR OWN FANCY. You have to write with what's already there.
Link to the part before yours and after yours in the body of the piece (if you don't know how to write the html for that note me and I'll explain).
I went a tad over 300 words, but not by much. And I suck at present tense, so feel free to point and laugh if I fudged this.
I want to do it, you know I do. I just feel... I won't be any good at it. I mean, you guys-all of you-are amazing and talented and I'm not so much. (to put it kindly.) But, if killing's involved, you know I can do that.

When I see you, I smile. When you talk, I'm speechless. When you walk, I stare. What can I say... retards amuse me. -- Youre like our brother. Step brother. Weird kid down the street who eats nothing but mayonnaise on saltines.
Well - I struggle with this story since this is not written in your usual voice.
I guess that what the challenge was. Also having the story start out with a description of vomit after tonight --- well not high on my list of subjects to read about.
I am curious to see where this story goes

You don't take a photograph, you make it. Ansel Adams
It's different even then the non-romantic work you do.
the darkness like an unforgiving knife, pointing at the source of the ashy smell. Typically you don't use metaphors like this - this makes it seem like you are writing as a different person. I know you are trying to match Darc's voice.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me
